VSAX And Crew Will Perform at Majic 102 ‘Live After 5′ on June 22, 2012 (Thanks To YOUR VOTES)

Thanks to your votes, VSax & the Crew will more likely perform for the Majic 102.1 Live After 5 Showcase at Jones Hall, Houston on Friday, June 22, 2012.
We say ‘more likely’ because we were 3rd place overall (see votes above), and the performance dates depends on the placement you were in (click here to see all dates). The 1st place winner, Kemeron, will perform this Friday on April 20th, the 2nd place winner, Texas Brass Band, will play on May 20th (the next Live After 5 date), and we (VSax & the Crew) will perform on the 3rd date, June, 22.
We fully intend to have the best show possible that night…so we will keep you updated on ticket info, etc. We will also open up for a MAJOR artist that night (artist TBA).

When opportunity comes knocking on the door, why not answer it?
Houston’s own Majic 102.1 is hosting a ‘Baddest Band in the Land‘ contest, and our band (VSax & The Crew) is one of 8 final bands that are selected for online voting, starting this MONDAY APRIL 2nd – SUNDAY APRIL 8th!!!
To understand what will happen to the winner (hopefully us), here’s the statement from Majic 102:
Majic 102.1 and Direct Energy are looking for the “Baddest Band in the Land”. Calling all non professional, unsigned Bassist, Guitarist, Keyboardist, Drummers and Saxophonist in a group, this is your chance to open for one of the biggest names in music at Majic’s Live After 5….
Upload a :90 second video snippet of your group’s best performance for a chance to be the opening act for one of our Live After 5 concerts.
Five big shows, 5 opportunities for your band to energize H-town and win the title of “Baddest Band in the Land”…
In order for us to be a performer, we have to win (or at least be in the TOP 3)…and that’s where YOU come in! You would have to vote for us, VSax & Crew (link on the bottom) to participate, from this monday april 2nd to sunday april 8th!

Since we went on tour with the Ashawo master himself, we had the special opportunity to work with Flavour first-hand in Oakland, L.A. (although there wasn’t a show), Dallas, and Houston. The last 2011 U.S. tour date is this Saturday, Dec 10th in the DMV area (D.C./Maryland/VA).

Here is the exclusive footage of Nigerian Superstar Flavour N’Abania during his 2011 U.S. Tour w/ his backup band, Houston’s VSax & The Crew.
The Dallas show, which took place on 11.26.2011, was a major success, and featured local Dallas artist Sean CZA + comedian Wamilele + H-Bolo, DJ Domi and DJ Dulo.
The ladies of the crew (Flavour’s background vocalists), Nnenna, Ugonna, Solange & Florah are interviewed at the 3:45 mark.
Flavour’s LIVE segement, with Mr. VSax, Leesi, Max, PC and the ladies w/ Flavour’s manager Benjamin, starts at the 4:45 mark! He performs his hit track, Adamma + others!
